Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wonderful! I think children should be encouraged to take risks..we've a nation of overweight bedroom-closseted teenage computer geeks here, because of smother-mothers. SO WELL DONE YOU!

This is a marvelous shot! I don't know if I'd be rock climbing or not, but it sure looks like fun. I love this shot and your explanation of it, quite a lot of fun and I'm absolutely sure that you were having fun on the day this was captured. Stunning! Nice! I like it!

Isn't Photoshop wonderful? You can do such clever things with it. Just keep saying that, it's worth a try.

Atta boy, the only way to discover what's on top is to climb up and find out.

Oh geez! This is the kind of stuff I used to do...and may be why I'm in the state I'm in these days.LOL. I had a LOT of fun! My catch phrase of this period was "Whatsamatter, ya wanna live forever?" I always hated that expression "curiosity killed the cat." Usually enunsiated by some whiney nose-bleed. My response was usually something like, "well, it least he died with his question answered. " And , no, I never told my mother about any of this stuff unless she found out while I was in triage. Funny how her hair turned gray anyway...
