Description

You will always shine like the brightest star, Mina, may you soar on strong swift wings in the light of the sun. My heartfelt sympathies to her family .. My photo, fadewillow's angel from freestuff Mina was an extraordinary person and artist. I am stunned that she is gone. I know she had been having some health issues, so had not been around for while, but I always expected to see her posting those beautiful pieces of work again, I always expected to read her notes about the pieces she created. this is everything Mina loved, from what I knew of her precious soul & heart: Deep lush forest, deep lush growth, a sense of infinity, a sense of the endless caress of the world around us, the beauty of life everywhere (of the leaves and branches and plants, etc), a vivid and beauteous opening in the back of it all, leading to great light that seems the end of all her journeys. (So many of her pieces had light: Even when she explored the dark side of our souls she portrayed light, it was simply never absent, never.) And of course a Goddess, in the light as if she were telling us that even in the darkest forest there is blessing waiting everyone. It's a beautiful photo, Rita; it's stunning, in fact. And it has much shadow & much opening to light & transcendence. And it's a perfect image not only for Mina's passing but for Mina, period: the light that still shines and always will. I always knew who was touched by Mina by the way she reacted in their galleries, and the way they reacted in hers. It struck me how many people loved her, how many she loved. But I also know that there were some who were touched very personally by her, and I can see you were one of those souls. I'm so sorry for your loss, I can see that you can't believe it; and yes we all figured one day she'd be back posting again. You gave her a picture from the 'other side', from a place of transcendence, and it's very moving. I can see that your words are from the center of your soul (and I can also see that they're just a small part of all you'd like to say and gush to her). And I know she's looking down at her friend now (you) and gushing back with the joy & light you gave to her. And thank you so much for your moving comment on my dedi, I didn't know Mina very long, as I only got to know her in the last months of her stay here; but that was enough to see how visionary & loving she was. You captured her beautifully, and I thank you for posting such a beautiful & inward image & remembrance of her. Much peace & grace your way, and i hope Mina's in peace too, wherever she may be shining...

It is so sad as Mina was a wonderful and kind friend to me. I knew she had heart problems, but did not know of her cancer that finally took her. Most wonderful tribute Rita, hugs Jane xx
