Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I don't know about seaweed, but that sure looks like tar or an oil leak to me in this cool capture, Marilyn! It kind of symbolizes a barren tree.

I can read it, but I can't tell you what it says or I'd have to kill you... :) Great find and capture!

I think it is a message, but you have to speak Agaran in order to read it. But if it's Agaran, it probably says something like "Eat at Josef's Cafe" or something. Anyway, it's an intriguing shot. I like the way it has a shape that implies something. The seaweed green is quite nice. I also like the way it looks like something that's been played with by a cat that has since lost interest and is out looking for q-tips to kill! That's always an amusing thing and I love the way this single image sends my mind off in all of those different directions! Great stuff!

This dendritic pattern reminds me of a walk in the New forest using a very badly written guidebook. It said that on reaching the conjunction of several paths in the centre of the wood one was to take the NNW one: the layout what much like this, and at no point in the introduction was a mention of taking a compass!

Reminds me of a prehistoric sea creature that used to live in the shallow sea that covered Kansas and the great plains 74 million years ago! But then reading National Geographic magazine gives me all sorts of unique associations:)

When I saw this and read your caption, I thought, "Chip will know ... it's probably Agaran." LOL! :P Excellent work! Ummm ... I might want to borrow this at some point. :D Hmmm ... looking at it again ... it looks a bit like Kokopelli on his side.

I think that you are looking at it upside down. Flip the photo and it will all make sence! :>) Dana
