Description

It friday so if you out and about and see some human bones it may belong to this man here. got this from Baton Rogue, Louisiana. The grave yard is a private ownedhere. The state gives it around $1000 grant a year to fix it up. The grass here is not even cut. i brought the camera from my son here. That why it a small photo for it on the wrong setting. thanks for looking and comments yes it a real skull. got photos of bones too in graves. I just looked at two graveyards here in Lake charles and I saw a old one today but did not stop to look aroud I will do that soon

This is a great find. I have seen some bones in crypts here but they are protected with glass. And I've never had to pleasure to come upon a skull before.

This is incredibly amazing and probably of extreme historical significance! What a marvelous shot! I wonder if there is a way to identify that skull based on the grave it's in. Are there records of the plots, I wonder? If this is a Black grave yard, there probably aren't very many records, especially for the graves dating from the 1800s, but I'm sure that detective work could reveals something! This is quite amazing! Quite incredible!

Fantastic shot, Jocko! very fascinating and disturbing that the graveyards are allowed to fall into such disrepair

Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him well... Neat shot of this partial skull, Jock, especially with the lighting contrasts as they were.

here a cemetery with 1700+ people was covered over by a street and conveniently forgotten. it was "rediscovered" during new construction for 75 North. they recovered all the bodies and made a burial in one common area with a monument for their memory I do not think I have ever seen a skull outside of a museum.obviously this graveyard is in poor condition. well seen Jock

I have to say this is an amazing photo Jock, and like Richard I've never seen a skull outside of a museum before. The graveyard really must be in great need of repairs. It's too bad an organization in the community doesn't try to repair it.
