Description

Happy Birthday Schonee (yesterday)! We used to pick these, split the stem and put the two sides into different colored water (just added food color) and watch the flower "magically" turn the two colors, half the flower would go blue and the other red or what ever colors the water was. Hey it was a fun project for us as kids. :-) I grew up knowing these as Queen Anne's Lace. Here is a Wiki link on Daucus Carota aka Queen Ann's Lace if your interested. Really nice photo, Rose! Those grow like crazy around here! Now that I've read this, I'm going to have to pick a bunch of these and put them in vases with different colored water just to see what I get! Excellent photo!
