Description

The day we went to Whidbey for the garden tour, we were at my sister-in-law's place for lunch beforehand. This beautiful peony is from her garden. Not part of the official tour, but every bit as lovely! Ummm ... does anybody else see a face in those petals, or is it just me?

The deep pink color in this is just drop dead beautiful. I would sure like to see this personally, but I'll just have to settle for your lovely picture.

That's a beautiful flowr, and a beautiful photo, Tara! I do see a face in the center - it kind of reminds me of either a monkey, or a Skeksis from the Dark Crystal movie. Or maybe it's just something in my coffee....

I love peonies...they smell good, they attract ants, they're gorgeous, and they're some of the only flowers I can actually name! That and as you show here, they're just so pretty! This is a great shot. I can't say that I see a face in the blossom...well, I do, but it's not a human face...it could be...well...some kind of alien with really complicated mouth parts, but they're not so overcomplicated that grins aren't recognizable. But that's just me. I'd hate to see what I'd come up with during one of those ink blot tests.
