Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

LOL! I love the snooze effect! You really popped the color and the textures too, and in an off the wall way, this reminds me of old Czechoslovak money, only without half naked women all over the place...it was really richly textured like this though and you could just stare at it for hours trying to figure out just how many details were in that background, and how many statues are actually ON the building depicted way over in the corner under the numerical value of whatever note you were holding. (they're used as laminated bookmarks now, as Czechoslovakia no longer exists.) Anyway, aside from that ramble, triggered by this, I really like what you've done! There's definite life in this, and I really like the way you brought out the ruddy tones. Nice. Very nice!

This is so fun! :) I love the way you used contrast here, and your method of asking us to focus on the dog is perfect!

Happy you incorporated a bit of postwork whimsy into this scene from Andrea's vast estate, Marilyn.
