Description

This is a photo from back in May. It caught my eye again while looking at my Flickr Photostream and wanted to post it here. I always loved this one. Tone mapped from a single raw image in Photomatix exported as 16bit TIF at about -1.5 full stop, so needless to say I took some liberties with the deepness of color here. I just love the way the blues of the Life Guard tower mix with the orange and yellows of the sunset. This was taken at Long Beach Calif. off Ocean Blvd. and Cherry Ave. On a Tripod. Thanks for looking and any comments. -Bruce PS, the small dark spec at mid left is a Seagull. Hard to see it clear at this size, but didn't want to clone it out. Please see at FULL SIZE

Fabulous, Bruce! When I belonged to a camera club pre-digital,and we all did black and white prints, we used to be accused of 'stick-on' seagulls if one happened to be in the right place!
