Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

WOW....This is just fascinating!

This is one of those Old Fashioned flowers that I remember well from childhood. My grandmother had them, my mother had them...and I don't seem to be able to grow them.:-) Glad you are able to capture them so I can still enjoy them. :-)

Very beautiful color! Lovely capture.

These are marvelous...my mother and grandmother also grew them and as a child, I largely ignored them because all of all of the interesting bugs that came around. Ah...kids! What I really like about this cluster of blossoms is the way you made the blue seem to rich. Usually when I think of "richness" I don't really think of colors near the blue end of the spectrum: it's always the reds...though also the violets, but never really the blues. This changes all of that for me though, because it IS rich...the petal details are very nice...very delicate. I like this a lot.
