My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Oh wow - what a lovely old shop front! I love the scale and am always amazed by the umbrellas left outside! Try that in SA - they will be gone in 30 seconds!!! LOL...

Wonderful capture of a brilliant old shop!!!

Thanks for taking us inside and showing us around. I love these doors...now, a virtual trademark of yours. And yes, the "weighing machine"/scale:) Have you got two pennies I can borrow to check my weight? I think it only takes wheat pennies...so cool:*
MrsRatbag
You captured it so beautifully; what a wonderful place this was!

You know, I didn't remember Port Gamble until I saw this! Even flew there once in one of those sea planes...sheesh! I must be getting old, lol! Its a beautiful shot Tara! Lol @ Bill! I love the old scale and I have wheat pennies...but not so inclined to step on the thing! As always your reflections captivate and intrigue me. The Klallam language word of the day seems to fit this image well:-) shəyí: 'life spirit, soul'. Contained in every living thing.

There is a restaurant in China that they say has been in business for a thousand years so we've got a ways to go to catch up. I'll bet that place doesn't look as nice as this one. Very well captured. I really like the reflections. I love old places like this but I don't know how well I would fit in since I don't drink coffee.

And they make great coffee---and apparently have a wonderful glass display upstairs!!

A classic Tara stealth door shot – no reflection of the photographer and yet a fantastic capture. LOL Clive – my street is only 200 yards long with only 2 buildings on the street – one building on each side of the street. My address number is 15126 and the other side of the street is number 15144. Go figure. Dana
