With everything that the media likes to stretch or manipulate even with the history of the Myan people I still take everything that people say with a grain of salt.If it was to happen then well....what can one really do....My problem with this supposed catastrophe and or anything else waiting in the wings or yet to come down the pike is that we ...human beings...unlike or world governments will have to survive on our own as they will survive in state of the art safe houses or underground bunker cities with our tax dollars and watch it unfold on strategically placed video cameras.It's like if a nuclear war was to happen we die they...(government officials and a selected few others)live on.I think the best example of this is what one directors ideas of what he thought would happen in such a crisis is the movie.."Deep Impact" where a lottery determines who lives and who dies.It's a shame our governments will live on but most of the rest of us will have to take our chances.Seriously....if impending doom was eminent do you really think we will be given notice??..most will say no simply because our governments don't and can't handle disaster at any level without causing mass hysteria..examples are Katrina...Oil spill in the gulf....earthquakes and so on.So to answer your question when December 23rd 2012 turns into December 24th 2012 I'll still be posting art here at Renderosity and waiting for the next prophecies or impending doom story to take center stage while I prepare to enjoy my Christmas Holiday with my family and friends.(smile)...Hopefully..all will pass...besides when it's "your" time to go well then.... If I understand correctly 2012 is a reference to a start of a new cycle. That being said, your render presents a very real issue in the sense of how we treat mother earth. Never consider ourselves top of the chain but rather part of the chain. At the current state of our technology , one goof, and we are back to fighting our next wars with sticks and rocks. Well, if it's going to be the Nibiru/Planet-X asteroid type thing some subscribe to we should be getting close to actually detecting it from Hubble or other deep space scanning apparatus, maybe they have, they just aint talking. Personally I don't subscribe to the Comet/Asteroid thing, more like the Ancients could foresee mankind evolving to the stage of mutual of self destruction and Gaia/Mother Earth striking first in Proactive self defense wiping out this virus called Humanity. Really great image! I tend to agree with KnightWolverine. When it's your time to go well then... Who knows? Maybe the guy that was figuring out the Mayan calendar walked off the job or went into retirement, and that's just where he quit. lol.

Ultimately, God is still in control and people can speculate all they want! Whatever He allows, is only because it's a part of His plan. But all-in-all, He will have the final say.

It honestly makes me worry. I normally do not give in to these things. But I watched a scientist say that the planets line up on that day and they do not know what will happen, and that scares me. What will be will be, but I plan to be home with my children that day, so that we are together, just in case. Nice work

I've seen all of these TV episodes. Besides the the cheap reality shows you have the above mentioned cheap "I'll scare you to death shows" which are supposed to pass as intelligent documentaries.
