Description

Between Morro Bay and Monterey California Highway 1 follows the coast for miles and miles. Before Mrs Seadog got sick we drove it on the average of once every year or two. It's so spectacular and each time it's different. The day I drove between San Luis Obispo and Monterey was the most perfect day I've ever seen. A strong breeze blew the clouds and haze away and the bright sunlight brought out the boldest colors on land and in the ocean. There were breathtaking views around every bend - I could have easily stopped every 100 yards or so and captured amazing views. Enjoy

WOW... breathtaking... I was just talking to my sister yesterday she had been to Yosemite, she lives near Sacramento and I said I am so jealous and she said I was thinking about you and how you would want to be here with your camera and I said you would never get me to leave.. haha This is California at its finest.. I just may go call the airlines and book a trip home after this..

Absolutely lovely. And I like your reference to Mrs. Seadog...she must have been a great travelling companion. It does one good to remember these shared times together.

I remember driving HWY 1 back in 1973 from Anaheim to just below Monterrey Bay but we could get all the way there...the road had fallen off into the ocean and traffic was detoured inland. We opted not to continue to Monterrey Bay...without the view of the ocean on the way there, it didn't seem as magical.
