Description

I am still in Namibia folks but back in the desert! Shortly after my return from my holiday somewhere in March/April this year I have posted 4 or 5 images of this marvelous volcanic mountain in the middle of the Namib desert in Namibia. They were all taken right at the mountain... and I have many more to post! This however is a pano I did with 5 images stitched in CS4 and gives a good view of the whole area. Do zoom - I tried to leave it as big as I can! Thank you for your support in comments and favs on my upload "just me and the sea" of yesterday! I really appreciate it! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

It's amazing the terrain shots you can get when you don't have a bunch of trees in the way. ;) Excellent wide capture!

OK... Promised to be more open and honest. Great panorama but the only glitch I see is that it is riding uphill a bit. But still, a great job overall. Never tried one of these and they can't be simple.

Ahhh thank you Fred! I appreciate the honest feedback! I actually also saw it but wasn't sure if it was because we were on quite a hill, so the foreground is raised. I'm going to try and tilt it and see what the effect is! :))

Oh, an admirable job of stitching as apparent in this marvelous panorama, Carin! You are really talented. Sterling POV, DOF, clarity and rich color in this one. And, let's see now, doesn't Spitzkoppe mean Shower or Sprayhead in German? Or would that have to be Spritzkoppe?

What a wonderful sight! You know, it reminds me of Santorini in Greece. Only the top of the caldera is visible above the water there, much like Spitzkoppe. Of course Namibia has sand and Greece has water, but the land formation is quite similar. This pano is just stunning, Dierbaar! Full view is astonishing.
