Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Incredible capture, dear Errol! They just get better and better. So glad Gary has made his peace but hope the lava avoids his house. Hugs and Aloha. Diane. xx

These shots of the lava just mesmerize me; they are so fascinating to study. I'm glad to read that Gary has made his peace with the situation, that makes me feel better for him.

Wow - I know I've said that several times about your lava images - but they are so stunning that I'm at a loss for words. Every aspect has been so perfect - composition, framing, exposure and color. An amazing series, well done.

Glad to see that YOU are still standing - that your feet haven't been burned off, considering how close you've been to this super hot matter! I'm amazed at the photos you've taken and that you've survived, given the vagarities of volcanic activities. I wonder, are you a professional nature photographer, or is this more of a hobby? Keep up the good work! :)

What kind of insurance, or do they even allow insurance for natural disasters such as lava flows? Another hot shot!

I don't think that looks safe at all. I'll have to agree with Jocko, looks like the gateway to hell! ;D Awesome capture!
