Description

A breeding pair of Gouldian Finch (Erythrura gouldiae), also known as the Lady Gouldian Finch, Gould's Finch or the Rainbow Finch, is a colorful passerine bird endemic to Australia. This is a zoo shot (not a very good photo of the female) but since it is endangered, I thought it was worth a posting. Gouldian Finches are about 130–140 mm long and their heads may be red, black, or yellow. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments.
