Description
I left El Paso, Texas for Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico and I could see El Capitan in the Guagalupe Mountains National Park, Texas, about 100 miles away. El Capitan is the peak on the left side – at 8,751 feet.
The photo was taken in the 1996 and then scanned recently.

Long ago...that place was covered by glaciers then lakes, then rivers, and now desert ! Maybe the global warning ! :)) Gorgeous capture I like this Wowwww
