Description

Immediately catching my eyes first, were these tall, jagged and mildly transparent crystalline formations that littered the landscape. The quartz-like structures seemed to project a glow from within, amplifying the appearance of the crystals or glass or whatever they were truly composed of. Overall, it looked like ice, but these tall mounds took my vision with shades of cyan and bright green luster. Again, the sky and immediate surrounding environment must have contributed to their chromatic sheen. Deep and smooth grooves had cut and shaped these mounds giving them a melted form, eroded away by the countless acidic rainfalls. All together, these crystalline-metallic terrain features stood up and leaned like crooked, rotted teeth. "WATCH YOUR STEP!" I was held back from stepping forward. In between the pockets and depressions grew some unusual plants. Small clearings indicated locations of the wet, dark green carpeting draped underneath the nail-like heads of some vicious growth. I found it odd that the tips were exposed and the green 'felt' was ripped and shredded a bit from the random flow of the liquid surface. Perhaps there was a low tide.
