Description

As Joshua stood with Peenk and Ateia, Mala and Nani stood to the side talking excitedly. An image of David Kirk and William Marx sr appeared, the two standing in space, Mars in the background. Marx saw Ateia and whistled. "It looks like I picked the wrong time to stop having kids." The man said playfully. "You wouldn't want to make babies with an old retiring general would you?" "No." She replied with a smile. "I only needed one. Joshua here has told me about you. Twenty one children? You need to keep your distance." "Is seventy four million lightyears far enough?" He said laughing. Joshua shook his head and stared at his father. "Cyn is on Earth with your mother." "And?" "And it worked. Kurga arrived with the clone. We accellerated the growth, though we overshot it by about a year. So he's seventeen instead of sixteen. Then we transferred his presence into the clone. You've done it, Joshua. You've done what only The Kirk could do. You brought someone back from the dead." Joshua smiled. "But there were complications." His father said. The smile faded away. "First of all, it was not a clone of Mackenzie, it was one of you. And second, there was something done to the clone. We don't know if it was planned, or if it was a fluke. But the clone body is a General's." "A General? Are you sure?" Joshua asked as he stared in shock at his father. "Well, if you don't believe me, take a look for yourself." David Cicero Kirk held his hand out and a tall black haired teen stepped into view. Joshua grinned broadly. "Black hair?" "Yeah. Looks like we picked the wrong hair color for the transplant. And don't even bother asking about the blue eyes. That's got our sister and her scientiets going nuts." Mala nudged Nani in the ribs. "He's gorgeous!" She whispered. The other girl agreed. "Looks like you have some fans little Bruddah." "Very cute ones." Mackenzie said as he smiled. "With very hot moms." Peenk glared at Joshua's brother. "Actually, this very beautiful blonde is not this one's mother, but her sister. Mack, Dirty Bill, Father, meet Peenk and her little sister Mala. And these two lovely ladies are Nani, and her mother, Jedi Mistress Ateia Marelli." Marx's eyes lit up. "So you're a Jedi? I've been doing a bit of research on this holonet connection we have here. I find the Jedi to be fascinating." "And just where are you guys anyway?" "We're in the holosuite at home. I thought we'd give you a view of home." The elder Kirk said, pointing over his shoulder. "Well Mack." Joshua turned to his brother again. "How does it feel to be alive once more?" "I never knew I was dead." Mackenzie chuckled. "One second I was on my back in the snow of Olympus Mons, a big damned rock coming for my head. The next I'm waking up in a cave with our parents, Julia, and Kurga standing around me. Oh. Thanks for killing my body." "Any time. Oh! I have something that I sent through to Starfleet Command. It's my report of what really happened at Teros 6. I've also added a recording of Arkanian and Kerr talking about engineering the political problems that have beset the Federation." "Where did you get that?" "From the Imperial Representative. It seems they sent two ships through the wormhole sixteen years ago. It looks like they were found by the Singhies. Now what's the Dictator up to that would keep her from talking to her favorite son?" "It seems there's a slight civil war going on in the Romulan Empire." Bill Marx said. "Their government has been trying to crack down on the personel who fought in the war. They claim that their exposure to the Federation and the Klingons make them dangerous. The straw that broke the camels back was the attempt to arrest Admiral Sakht." "Now that was stupid." Joshua said with a laugh. "Most of the fleet is loyal to her." "And she has them on the run. She's also announced the formation of the Romulan Republic."
