Description

This was a photo taken in the mid 1940's in Hamilton, Ont. There was until a year a stretch of track that ran off the main line all the way up Ferguson St. right through the center of town and hooked up with the rail line that made its way up the mountain to the steel mill at Nanticoke. Two trains a day ran that line and all heading south. On this particular day there was a mix up in train orders and a train heading south was met by one that had been switched onto the wrong line. The result as a head to head meet of both trains trains the larger engine heading south and the smaller one ( on its side) heading north, the resulting meeting on Ferguson St just north of Main St with rather disaterous results. The photo I did not take but the coloring of it was my first attempt at " photoshopCS4. " The photo came from the public library, and i felt it was a interesting one to attempt something with " photoshop."...so thanks for the peek
