Description
At one time it had been used as a dredge on a river some place and also worked near a mine to dredge a passageway for vessels to ship cargo. But now it was tied up here in an out of the way berth with glorious plans to be a floating restaurant.
It sat for a season a more curious derelict than anything, sat quietly waiting for its transformation that sadly would never come. This is 1 of 3.......thanks for the peek

James, This a great image! I love the way your image captures the Essene of time. Mankind could draw some parallels, about the seasons in one's life. Getting more on personification level, it always has interested me the way that society treats their old. Where as some segments value their old even respecting them; others segments fear the old as if they are in the way. Like your ship, mankind should honor from their service and realize that as ancient story teller the knowledge they posses is of value, of the culture. Thanks for great image to ponder!

I love these working boats. They all have so much strength, even in their senior years. Fabulous shot.

Makes for a fascinating subject. I found a similar dredge derelict about 7-8 miles outside of Fairbanks, Alaska but it had been used to dredge for gold years ago.
