The flash was bright, nay brilliant burning the eyes from all whom stopped on that tranquil Aug morning to look up at the airplane that dropped a single bomb then banked away. Then came the explosion, one that in its utter fury obliterated every thing living and non living in its furious path an explosion so wrought with power that in less than a heart beat it incinerated people where they stood and such was the naked power of it, it acted as a common everyday camera and etched the shadows of people where they stood in what ever instant final pose they heal for ever to be see as a constant reminder of the absolute destructive power that man can harness. It was again a hot Aug day as I went back again to the " dredge " to capture it and perhaps savor some of what it had been in its glory days. But I was met with the outlines of people , children, white outlines as in a crime scene, but white outlines that had become this day a poignant reminder of a day many years ago that had been real and hideous to those who witnessed it first hand and were gone in less than a heart beat..... ....thanks for the peek.
