Description

What should I say... I hope the image speaks for itself. Captain Jack and his Lizzie are back (Mike, you asked for it! At last for Jack :o)) I played around with Indirect Lights and DOF. Guess these Indirect lights became a habit of mine, as I love the render results with them a lot. The wonderful velvet is the result of shader OPS, which is an outstanding source for this texture. Rendertime was about 11 hours (10h and 51min or something like that) Carrara 7 Pro DCG Shader OPS Photo Impact 12 Thanks a bunch for taking a look and perhaps even leave a honest comment beside the obligatory ones ;o) Hoist the colours high! Ta, ~Sassy~

Some sparrows are lucky. Elegant setting has been quietly invaded. Audience of one works. Her fan is at half mast. She is a lovely prize to be sure.

Now all he has to do is a "Rhett Butler" and carry her up the stairs. Oh, right, we're talkin' Jack here, be more at home dropping her down the stairs probably. Excellent image, well worth the wait I'd say. The lighting is lovely, the DoF is spot-on and your characters look perfect.

obligatory ones??? I didn't buy any of those, I don't even know where to get them - lol.... THIS IMAGE IS SWEET!!! Some people that are not familiar with 3D graphics will think this is taken out of the movie - jack looks SOOOOO JACK = LOL it is so cool to see you bring this character back to life in your gallery... I think that mike message up there is for me, cause I'm always asking you to do More Jack, More, more, more - lol but damn, You are great with this character - I love it... just a totally awesome job all the way around... see, you could just stand Jack there, but you don't, you "feel" the character, you lean him up against the post you cross his feet, put the arms behind his back and look at the girl - If Johnny Depp was in this scene, I could see him act just like that - and that my friend is why I beg for more - lol

Looks quite good Saskia. The depth of field really brings the focus onto Lizzie, and the textures are excellent, especially the velvet. I'm really liking the indirect lighting that you're using as well, give a very natural, soft feel to the image, which suits the scene perfectly. The only suggestion that I'd have would be that I'd like to see the shadows a bit deeper. While it would be possible for some good sized windows to admit the amount of light that we see here into the room, I'm thinking it's just a hair too bright given the location. I think that deepening the shadow areas would add just enough difference to the luminosity level so that it would feel that much more realistic. Rocking good work as always my dear... can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next.

There he is, Jack Sparrow, so effortlessly sexy! Beautiful render here, the detail is stunning, just stunning, and the poses fit the characters perfectly. Love how he is leaning in that casual way. Dress is amazing, too!

I like your slight use of DOF. Putting her in complete focus and everything from slightly out, to much out of focus. It gives a great 3D depth feeling when looking at this!!!
