Description
hello to all and thanks for taking the time to view my work! and a double thanks to those who take the time to comment on it.
this one is dedicated entirely to RobynsVeil, who has been an absolutely invaluable support and friend.
these are raw renders of the catsuit i (re)made. i'm not happy with the lighting, but it was fairly useful for testing. it's almost ready to be released. there are lots of things about it i'll do differently when i make a new catsuit (like, say, for M4), but i think it's not bad for a first release. the edges are modeled, but the internal seams are displacement maps and bump maps. it includes 3 different types of materials: corrected, just linearized for P8 IDL renders, and plain for Poser Pro renders. i also included the 3 other tiling leather bump maps as bonuses.
the catsuit has a fair number of morphs built in due to the generosity of RobynsVeil and D3D's brilliance. i've found basic morphs incredibly useful when combined with dynamics. to make the character on the right, i scaled down V4's abdomen to make it shorter, then morphed it out some with built-in and custom morphs. it was still pretty small, though. so i made this sim work by using the Young and Thin body morphs on the catsuit and the figure in the initial frame. this kept the catsuit nice and tight through the sim.
i'm working on a dress right now that needs to fit a character using an NGM preset with some adjustments. so her chest is _much_ larger than default, and her overall shape is very curvy. i'm still finding a balance between morphing larger and letting the cloth stretch. and i'm definitely learning more about how topology affects the simulation.
oh! and all the materials are mine, including the skin shader, the skin is Valeria by Maelwenn, and the hair is Belle Arum by Surreality and Arien. the random prop in the background was inspired by the photo that served as a source for the light and scene.

This is Kobaltkween at her finest! This garment looks superbly crafted, hun. What attention to detail. The material, the cut, and the fact that you've combined features of conforming cloth (morphs) with dynamic must make this item completely unique! This is the one new clothing item to get for V4, before KobaltKween realises what she's accomplished and puts it on the market. The quality of the craftsmanship alone surpasses most of what's out there!! Well-done, petal... brilliant work!
MindRebel

Like Fabi says, you should be selling these;) I like the model too, it looks like you made some corrections on her shoulders and how her upper thigh works, and the wrists look right too. And the catsuit is neat--I'm sure getting the collar right was a challenge!
