Description
This beautiful tree was already here when I arrived, but it was completely dwarfed by three 20 metre conifers...which are no more. Since then it has begun to recover, although it has taken it a fair while. It flowers twice, unusual for this variety (so I am told), once late June and now until the end of September, although the first flurry is nowhere near as abundant as the later flowering.
I've no idea what the common name it. It took me long enough to find what species it was in the first place, and even now, I'm not 100% I've got it right. No doubt if I have not, some wonderfully helpful soul out there will tell me, 'cos I really would like to know! ^=^
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

No common name needed! I cannot express how ENVIOUS I am that you can grow this gorgeous variety! I have planted this twice and failed twice, and yet I have the right soil etc. Such a wonderful photo!

Wonderful, a beautiful photograph.

Absolutely beautiful. Have looked it up but no common name given. Apparently you can propogate by using semi ripe cuttings and the plant is hardy.

What a shot! I like this quite a lot and unfortunately, I'm no help at all when it comes to recognizing plants and/or their names. Well...maybe that's not entirely true; I recognize quite a number of fictional plants such as Seymor 2 from Little Shop of Horrors and the ambulatory, venom-spitting, man-eating triffids from Day of the Triffids but that's about it, and since there are no triffids in reality, I can't even distract them with sound and kill 'em with salt water, and so my botanical knowledge (what little bit of it I do have) is far, far, far beyond useless. And having said all of that, I'm really amazed at the beauty and clarity of this picture, especially in terms of the pure white, the riotous reproductive bits with nice tinges of yellow, and the overall composition. This is a really stellar shot.
