Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Must be a wonderful job making those; I can't imagine how nice it must be to sit with all those lovely scents all around stringing them together! Great shot!

When I looked at the thumbnail to this, I was reminded of flowers in a greenhouse waiting for purchase: you know, in those little plastic crate thingies. I always loved seeing those whenever my mom would drag me along to buy flowers to plant. As I let my vision blur just a little bit on full view, I noticed that the dark patches almost seemed to spell something out, only I couldn't quite figure it out. I love it when photos do that. I'll bed these did smell divinely! Real flower leis are fantastic, and I love all of the welcoming, vivid colors in this. And yes...I few off color lei-puns popped into my head, but I believe in keeping my mouth shut--at least some of the time, and so I'll just let sleeping dogs lei. (eeew! I can't believe I just let one escape!)
