Description
A mother’s work is never done.
All primates have characteristics in common. Red-faced Macaques are no different. They are cared for by their mothers for an extended period and must be taught to be monkeys. They reach adulthood at ten years of age and can live to around thirty years.

Such sweet and tender scenes. Who could not look at these scenes and believe these animals have intelligence and feelings exactly as humans do. Wonderful!!!

Excellent images! You have captured the wonderful closeness between them and the teacher/student attitudes. The frailty and need of protection of the youngster is very evident and a characteristic that we share with our distant cousins. I love the little hand on the mother's hand. Her hand could well be blocking his questing fingers from whatever is below it. I've seen toddlers tug at a parent's hand to see what is beneath it. Beautiful light on the mother's fur. Lovely, and tender captures!
