Nymphalidae Nymphalinae Nymphalini Aglais io (Linnaeus, 1758) Peacock Butterfly Inachis io La Vanessa io o Occhio di pavone (Inachis io LINNAEUS, 1758) è una ben nota e colorata farfalla della famiglia Nymphalidae, abitante delle zone temperate dell'Europa e dell'Asia. È l'unica specie del genere Inachis da alcuni autori considerato sinonimo di Nymphalis. Il suo epiteto specifico fa riferimento a Io, sacerdotessa di Giunone dalla leggendaria bellezza. The Eye of Vanessa or me peacock (I Inachis Linnaeus, 1758) is a well-known and colorful butterfly family Nymphalidae, an inhabitant of the temperate zones of Europe and Asia. It is the only species of the genus Inachis by some authors considered synonymous Nymphalis. Its specific epithet refers to Io, a priestess of Juno's legendary beauty. Un'altra farfalla assolutamente splendida. Sto cominciando a pensare che le farfalle dell'Italia tutte gli abbiano sentito siano un grande fotografo e siano tutto il volo alla vostra vicinanza fare la loro prendere immagine da voi! Quanto altrimenti spiegate tanti bei ritratti della farfalla? Another absolutely gorgeous butterfly.
