Description
Liz (zil2008) asked me to create a Rainbow Bridge picture for a website she is involved in for cats with asthma, www.felineasthma.org Look carefully and you will see also 2 little dogs I painted, with Liz's approval.
The site is so informative about the dreadful condition, and helps people to understand it and how they can help their cats. Many of the cats if treated early can live long and happy lives, and often die of other causes.
There is a special tribute page for those cats who have passed away. Being as the website is being updated at present it seemed a good time to add a pic of Rainbow Bridge, I considered it a great honour to be asked to create it.
I sincerely hope that all of us who have lost beloved pets will get some comfort from my picture. Liz's recently departed Mikey is layed near to the bridge as that is where Liz would like to see him, but this picture is for everyone who ever lost a pet she stressed to me.
This is how I see Rainbow Bridge and actually my own Mistapus has a serious heart condition that could take him at any time, so strangely enough I got some comfort from my own picture as I created it. I really do believe a place similar to the one I created does exist, and for all of us who have lost beloved pets will one day see them waiting patiently for us, but believing that while they wait they have all they need and are happy, is comforting don't you think?
Just like Liz and a few of my friends here on RR who have lost cats and dogs, also my best friend Barbara (jendellas) has sadly just lost her beloved cat Bernie.
It is always hard losing our dearest pets and I know how hard it has been for all of you. I hope that my little picture will bring you and us all some comfort too.

Liz took the photo of Mikey and I painted him, as I did also both the dogs, Mia in the foreground who is not with me now, and also one of her pups the little black and white puppy.
The background by me - painted grass and lots of other things using brushes, and I created other things using Photoshop Elements 8 and Photoshop CS4

It is exactly what it should be. A gorgeous tribute. Thank you my friend it has lifted my heart. With your permission I will place the address in PFD so that my friends there can see it. We are all close to our pets and this image will lift the spirits as we remember those who have crossed the rainbow bridge

Jane, I have no sorrow of the loss of my beloved old cat Bamse, as I know it was his time to pass on and because I know, what a good life he has had with us. I can still remember his soft fur, holding him, his gentleness and all our worries, when he was sick. I feel lucky, I had all that and I still feel he is in our hearts, even though he passed away many years ago. It is a lovely thought, that our pets go to a happy place over the Rainbow Bridge, as you so wonderfully describe in your lovely image, Jane. It is such a comforting image indeed. You really know how to give comfort those who are in need for that :-)

First I have to thankyou for e.mailing me to tell me your beautiful image was uploaded & was it ok you had mentioned Little Bernie. It is really a comfort to think that all our beloved, wonderful friends be it cats, dogs, horses, the list could be endless would arrive at a beautiful place like this. Being met by a wonderful angel, to welcome & keep them on the straight & narrow no doubt :o) I believe Bernie has reached this peaceful place as he has left me a sign to say he had arrived & was safe.
