Description
Liz (zil2008) asked me to create a Rainbow Bridge picture for a website she is involved in for cats with asthma, www.felineasthma.org Look carefully and you will see also 2 little dogs I painted, with Liz's approval.
The site is so informative about the dreadful condition, and helps people to understand it and how they can help their cats. Many of the cats if treated early can live long and happy lives, and often die of other causes.
There is a special tribute page for those cats who have passed away. Being as the website is being updated at present it seemed a good time to add a pic of Rainbow Bridge, I considered it a great honour to be asked to create it.
I sincerely hope that all of us who have lost beloved pets will get some comfort from my picture. Liz's recently departed Mikey is layed near to the bridge as that is where Liz would like to see him, but this picture is for everyone who ever lost a pet she stressed to me.
This is how I see Rainbow Bridge and actually my own Mistapus has a serious heart condition that could take him at any time, so strangely enough I got some comfort from my own picture as I created it. I really do believe a place similar to the one I created does exist, and for all of us who have lost beloved pets will one day see them waiting patiently for us, but believing that while they wait they have all they need and are happy, is comforting don't you think?
Just like Liz and a few of my friends here on RR who have lost cats and dogs, also my best friend Barbara (jendellas) has sadly just lost her beloved cat Bernie.
It is always hard losing our dearest pets and I know how hard it has been for all of you. I hope that my little picture will bring you and us all some comfort too.

Liz took the photo of Mikey and I painted him, as I did also both the dogs, Mia in the foreground who is not with me now, and also one of her pups the little black and white puppy.
The background by me - painted grass and lots of other things using brushes, and I created other things using Photoshop Elements 8 and Photoshop CS4

We've just returned from the Hollow .. and I rushed to see if you had put up the Rainbow Bridge image yet, and here it is!! This is utter heaven .. such a beautiful and peaceful and happy place, just fille with wonderful kittens and cats .. perfect for the website! I'm so glad you've added Mia and one of her pups .. even it is for a cat site. The Bridge is a place for all, don't you think? So beautifully done Dear Jane, and with so much sensitivity .. Beautiful and loving image and sentiments. I love seeing all the cats doing what they so enjoy, watching birds and insects, exploring, cuddling, and relaxing. The dogs are sweet too. I visited the site and it is a wonderful one. It is a excellent help for people and for their cats. The tribute page is very touching. Thank you for this lovely image!

Stunning composition, Jane. This is very well crafted. Lots of photoshop glueing. You did amazing. It touches my heart, since i love pets, just as much as you do. It's heavy but wonderful to love pets, primarily because of their relative short life span. If you allow yourself to truely love them. I hurts like hell when they go. I have a tremendous amount of animals waiting for in the meadow. I hope the will all follow me over the rainbow bridge, when on the day, where my time on earth ends. It will be a big march... cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish.. you name it #:o) Felineasthma is a nice website. I didn't even know cats coul have asthma. But after all, most animals can get the same diseases as humans.+5
