Description

Inspired by the beautiful movie "Wolfs Pact". Thanks to the wonderful BAR-CODE I was able to finally bring this thing to life!!!! He made the sleeve-cuffs, without them the whole thing would have turned into a ridiculous attempt. THANKS SO MUCH, CHRIS!!!!!!!! The fur is made in Carrara and I think it turned out well. I love Carrara so much, now all we need is dynamic cloth....and it would be perfect. Thanks to shader-ops I could put some red velvet on her dress. The whole render-time for this image was about 13 hours and I put some minor postwork on it, to get rid of the heavy saturation. Unfortunately I had to reduce the image-quality a lot to meet the max file-size of 512kB... duuuh! So please bear with me if this disturbs you. What do you think? I'd love to hear from you :o) Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my work, it's highly appreciated. Hoist the colours high! ~Sassy~

The only critique I have is that the scenery appears flat, and without depth. The shadows are great, and the textures came out really well, too!

Great looking scene lovely textures and details If the BG is made in Carrara I would say it was on par with Vue otherwise it is nicely blended and a great piece of work!

Beautiful scene! The fur looks great on the dress as well as the velvet shader (maybe I should get shader-ops). I really like the horse too.

Looks great Saskia. The fur and velvet textures both are spot on. They look like they'd be really soft to the touch. I love the lighting on this one. You really did a good job on getting it to feel like diffused sunlight, and the dappled shadows on the young lady's dress really add to the realism of the whole. I also like the "atmosphere" of the image, as in the slightly hazy feel that the background has. I'd love to see the full resolution of the image as I can only imagine what got lost to compression (never a fun thing to have to deal with). This one's really impressive Sassy, very well done!

Never heard of Wolfs Pact... Was expecting a wolf scene - lol... but after further review, this is a totally awesome image - the wolves are on the other side of the horse, ya just can't see them, right? LOL

Most excellent! Save for the fact a Lady would not be on something like a Morgan-sized mount. Hers would have been smaller, "finer". A light courser. It does not take away from the image, tho'.

If Cararra ever got dynamic cloth (like they promised) I'd shamelessly squeal like a school girl! I really like the fur trim, I keep meaning to do more of that, but the muse in charge of furry things is currently hung over from a party in an alley with 16 cats, 4 squirrels, and a shitzu. Never mind the fur, the setting looks awesome! I love all the leafy ground cover goodness!

Great image ... and GREAT Gallery!! You were doing very very well with Poser, but I think you work got much better after you started using Carrara. It's hard to pick a farvorite image in your Gallery, each one has it's own unique qualities that I like, but this is one of my favorites. Keep up the great work!!!
