The Saucer by KatesFriend

During the last hour of the last night of the last quarter of the moon. That's when they come. To remote roadless locations, near small forgotten towns. That's where they go. Places once alive and human. Places once proud with the wealth of industry. Places that harnessed their rivers and streams for the power to feed mills and mines and factories. Places discarded as the greater profit moved to greener and cheaper pastures. Places now claimed by a very different population. Places again thriving with a new but sinister industry. As centres for alien regeneration. It is in these darkened places that David Vincent seeks The Invaders.
PLEASE ZOOM IN FOR BEST VIEWING Greetings everyone and thank you so much for taking a look at my very first Vue rendering. Now before you all get too impressed by the result of my (well, not really) first trial at this new (for me) application, I would like to point out that much of this scene was created from one of the sample scenes supplied with the Vue software. However, I did make several modifications to the landscape in order to provide this close up segment. A valuable learning process, may I say. I also discovered that Vue can be terribly temperamental when it comes to importing Poser objects and characters. It took great effort to squeeze the alien saucer into the landscape without causing the programme to crash. Though, once it was in the scene was surprisingly stable as I developed it. One of the many quirks that I will have to learn to cope with in the months ahead. With that in mind, if anyone knows of some good tutorials for merging Poser and Vue works I would be very thankful for your assistance. Anyways, I hope everyone is ready for the long weekend - that is, if you celebrate Labour Day where you live. Cheers! Just fantastic. I enjoyed taking in all the detail. Depth of field is excellent. I love the concept: lonely and eerie, a throw back to the 60s sci-fi TV shows.
