Description
As I mentioned previously June is a rainy month in Japan. Because of this we often found ourselves running for cover. Sometimes waiting for the rain to stop can be very productive.
The Kasuga Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine in the city of Nara. First built in 768 A.D. and rebuilt several times over the centuries, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The path to Kasuga Shrine passes through Deer Park. Over a thousand stone lanterns line the way.

I love the lush green look of this scene. And its seeming tranquility and sense of antiquity.

The rain adds to the charm. Fantastic shot, I love how the roof his partially hidden by the mist. Wonderful mood.

Beautiful shot! They look like a crowd waiting for a parade. Excellent composition and color! I like the branch in the front. It seems to be fairly dripping with rain.
