Description
Here is the view over the river Fal which has enticed folk from around the world to holiday here. I've not straightened it because I quite like the wash thrown up by the Enterprise.
One of those properties in the distance I believe is now in the ownership of Madonna! Wow! How lucky are we eh? ^=+
The sea was slightly rough, usual for this time of year, so the brine aroma permeated every part of the journey! Wonderful! The only thing missing was those wonderful Sea Shanty singers, Fishermens Friends, from Port Isaac that Alan mentioned in his comment on the other image! And there was me thinking I was alone in my love of those chaps and that fabulous music!! Yay for Alan, I say! ^=^ I think I'm in love!!! ^=*
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

great choppy sea, and heres to Fishermens Friends, and while were about it, that wonderful duo, Show of Hands, who have been instumental, no pun intended, in their wider rise to fame.

I see shots like this--especially with the choppy sea--and think: Give me a sturdy ship, a friend in every port... and probably a bit of something else that I can't quite recall at the moment as it changes every time I see a sea-related image. And what a picture this is! It evokes stories--and yeah, Fishermen. As for Fishermen's Friends...well...I've got some exploring to do. What a shot! I really like this, and yeah, there's very little in life better than the scent of brine in the air: I've only smelled the sea, once; there was a tinge of iodine in the air...from some nicely slimy species of seaweed I suspect, and well...I like slimy species of things so I was happy! This is marvelous!
