Description

These days we have been beaten by a number of storms and heavy rains, followed the the usual, stuffy arguments in the local papers about who is to blame for the deplorabe state of the city's sewage system, minor flooding of streets and the like. All this to say that summer holidays are over and business as usual started again. During a break in the rain, when some sunny sky was gracing us, I took the chance of looking at the flowers in the tiny kitchen balcony of my apartment. Here you can see a reflection of the sky and the high rise building across the street on the wet railing, and some glimpses of Flavia's love and pride, her balcony garden (I'm a lost cause as to that). Thanks for your kind comments.

and i guess like here in spain every year they dont care to clean all the summer trash wich blocks the canals and then it overfloods and pumptrucks are running around. but maybe they have a deal with these companies, we let it flood we call you you clean we pay you give us a fat xmas envelope in return or buy us a finca...... huh??.would not surprise me .

This is a fantastic image Sandra, and much like the title gives us a chance to reflect on life. You have a gift for seeing the beauty the world has to offer all around you.

Wow! An interesting shot, and one taken with some thought and care to stop long enough to smell the flowers.

Very surreal, like two worlds overlapping into each other. Excellent creative work!

WOW! I love the shifted world in this...the fact that everything above is shown only through reflection, while the non-reflected focus is so intimate and tactile. The colors are marvelous and the mood is sublime. I really like the distorted building across the street, a bent highrise! Wonderful work as always, and a superb glimpse into the wonders of a small balcony. Great stuff!

Hai fatto bene a trarre una buona foto da una situazione non piacevole! ( Viareggio e'cosi' : a ogni acquazzone serve il motoscafo per girare per la citta' )
