Description

This image was taken in a patch of wooded area, more like a wooded flowerbed than a park, crammed among the condos of what once was the periphery of the industrial area and currently a mixture of gentrified condos and old working class houses. This place is a miracle in itself and the playing ground for young children and their baby-sitters. I dedicate this one to all the lovers of books, and also to those who write them, as well as newspapers, scripts, theatrical pieces, and comics. I also love those who write academic articles and books, gossip magazines and all the others I may have missed to mention. I'm an OMNIVOROUS READER! Thank you for your kind comments.

You know Sandra, if I squint a little, I can almost make out a beautiful old Masters painting, somehow - that was my first impression, when I viewed the thumb... in regards to reading, I am reading at present: 'Tell Me I'm Here' by Anne Deveson, (non-fiction) an outstanding piece of literature. you caught the atmosphere here really well, BB

Great photo as always Sandra, your work stands out so much because of the thought you put into selecting your images as well as your personal comments on them. This one stands out to me as it is does seem she has chosen the best spot to read that we all dream about.

I also read, constantly... I buy books, read them and then donate them to the library...ever year. I also do a great deal of writing and come from a family who had several things published, including my father who was a newspaper editorialist with the Galveston newspaper. This has a very comfortable feeling to it. Great shot.

A very peaceful place to read. Love to read but with all the driving that we do, we listen to audio books when in the car. The average book fits on 6 to 8 CDs. Dana
