(Bug Comic) This is a few minutes after "General Nyelah Elle", where Nyelah and Jorge Avila were waiting for the hunting Aer team to pass. Avila had told her to go down to the river and look for a boat, and then float downstream towards Portland. The Azali didn't bother with stragglers once they were out of the "cleared zone". Avila didn't want to go with her, because sooner or later someone (or something) is going to come looking for him, and they can track him by his collar. So he went off in another direction, and Nyelah made her way down to the river, where there was a small boat on the shore. But the stupid boat was half full of water, leaky and useless. She had just reached down to tug on the rope and see if she could dump the water out, and use it anyway, when she looked up and saw an Aer pointing a gun at her. For his part, 22-301 was very put out that he'd been following the scent trail of a blanket for the last three blocks. Instead of his co-pilot, here was a useless juvenile female human. 22-301 also had a pretty good idea of what Avila was up to, since 22-301's previous copilot had the same habit of trying to rescue things. This was doubly annoying since there wasn't much time left before the bugs would be released to clean up the rest of the city, and he still needed to find Avila. He was going to have to speak English to the human thing. He had just worked out the phrase "Where is the man with the red hairs?" when Nyelah kneecapped him with a tire iron. ______________________________ I do have to explain some things--22-301 is a pilot, so he's wearing a jazzier and less effective uniform (He *has* a tactical suit and a helmet, but it's in a locker in his ship that at the moment is being blocked by something) He's also been "shopping," in case you were curious about what he's holding: it's a bag that says "Bayard's Deli, since 2199" and has several packets of cat food (for him), 3 rolls of toilet paper (22-301 dislikes the official issue) and 3 bags of gelatin candy fish for Avila. This is totally Against the Rules, but 22-301 has decided he's going to go big with rule breaking anyway, and a bag of loot is nothing compared to what he was doing in the last hour (which was why he sent Avila off to look for a piece of metal. 22-301 has already fixed the stabilizer, as well as some other stuff).
