Firstly, thank you for taking the time to take a look through my gallery.
ÂÂ
I've only been working with DAZ for a short while, since February of 08, but I have been an artist all my life (you can call squiggles on paper art, right?). Alright, so, professionally only since about the 80's when my 'studio' was officially born. When first introduced to DAZ I was instantly hooked! (okay, who that's tried it hasn't been? And I will never forget him what got me involved in it!! You know who you are! ;-) ) Working with it has been the furthest cry I could have ever dreamed of from my traditonal fantasy and equine art (I think my pencils are forming a protest).
ÂÂ
If anyone is curious about the name, Iceshark comes from my love of ice hockey and our local team The San Jose Sharks, 39 comes from the jersey number of my favorite player. I, personally, am a 30-something year young female artist and writter. My life is dedicated to my art, writting and, of course, my very spoiled dog.
ÂÂ
I welcome any and all comments on my work that will aid into molding me into a better artist.
ÂÂ
I won't subject you good people to any further prattle. Let it suffice to say that I am glad to be here, more pleased than words can say that a rookies work is being so well recieved, and I will endevour to continue to improve my craft to be truly worthy of the praise and kindness I have recieved.

Great image, Stacey, but there is a bit of a problem, when they reach the 8th row, they become Queens more often than not

Love your take on the White Pawn and your commentary about them! Like the idea of treating them like the infantry soldiers and not just as "Operation Human Shield" chuckles The posing on this guy is superb, love the use of both the shield and sword. Even as regal as he appears he's still not as imposing a piece as some of your others which plays well into the chess design I think. I've played chess a few times myself, but I was never any good at it. I have no head for strategy. I just like to collect nice chess sets for the figures, like my LOTR sets.

so you do play... have you ever seen 4 player chess? I bought one for my daughter - she was into chess club for a couple years - she's really good, just has never beat'n me. but, the 4 player chess is a trip. imagine 3 people that know you're good and chess and they all gang up and come after you - and you freak'n win!!! lol.... I bought that for my daughter when she was 11. She turns 22 this month - time flys. damn, I almost left without saying what your art says to me. I like this a lot, the color? I'll let ya slide, but the image - awesome... as soon as I saw it it was as if he's looking up at the killer queen and is trying to now threaten her but at the same time standing ready... So far, this is my favorite piece that you've made.

Very nice piece. We have played chess in our home all our lives. I am terrible at it but my dad was a master. Played in many, many tournaments and won.Still have chess sets all over the place. Had one my grandmother sent us from Europe. Each piece was carved and it was such a delicate set. Something similar to what your putting together with the medieval Knights. Your doing a great job.
