Description

Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California. Distinctly better viewed full size. A plethora of smoke for everyone, with pics of the Confederates responding in kind tomorrow. For full dramatic effect, I clicked the shutter right at the moment the commanding officer shouted FIRE, following the initial READY, AIM order. At the risk of repeating myself, the photo shoot was made somewhat difficult in that I had to muscle, elbow, crouch, squeeze and ninja my way back and forth through the long tight line of spectators in order to get decent shots of the troops as they waged warfare. Certainly no way to make friends. Au revoir, thankx for looking in, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

Your own 'battle' to capture the battle...and well worth it! Brilliant series of images. However looking at the top shot....someone's cheating.Looks like you caught somebody launching a surface to surface missile.Nothing like a nice friendly war to bring out the best in people.
