They were once a strong mainstay of our culture, a symbol of importance and strong with meaning. Prime Ministers, Presidents and a host of other politicians,and cultural icons rode them. They were the last car on a passenger train that would stop at a station or perhaps a whistle stop. One would step out onto the platform, wave, give some short speech then step back inside to the waving & cheering crowds, as the train chuffed away to its next appointed stop and another speech. They are gone now, faded into the mist of time a symbol of what once was and is now no more, only to be seen in movies or some such.......thanks for the peek
