Description
They were once a strong mainstay of our culture, a symbol of importance and strong with meaning. Prime Ministers, Presidents and a host of other politicians, and cultural icons rode them. They were the last car on a passenger train that would stop at a station or perhaps a whistle stop. One would step out onto the platform, wave, give some short speech then step back inside to the waving & cheering crowds, as the train chuffed away to its next appointed stop and another speech.
They are gone now, faded into the mist of time a symbol of what once was and is now no more, only to be seen in movies or some such.......thanks for the peek

Rivets and all, it was a slower time. A time when the speed of society wasn't measured in nano seconds. When you had time to finish your BLT at lunch. ;) You're catching some glimpses into that past here.

Old days: grace, simple, security, less diseases, more love, peace and happiness - people really used to enjoy their lives more. I believe that with all the techniques and modern life people are not happy and do not feel secured or loved enough, there isn't even enough time for anything. Nice shot!!!
