Description
Look well at my tree and enjoy its stance
For soon its leaves will fall.
When autumn’s gone and its bark is bare,
And the winter’s winds blow chill and all,
then my tree, my lonesome tree,
will stand stand out proud and spare.
Years ago, a man spoke a great truth to me,
He said:
“There’s nothing so stately as a winter tree”
So, my friends, when winter comes,
Take a moment and look around,
Those sleeping trees do have stature,
but only if you have eyes to see.
(This picture was taken after turning exactly 180 degrees from the one with the morning sun rays).
After reading the above my better half suggested that I should definitely not give up my day job.

I think trees are stately in any season--if it's the right tree! This is a fine one.

Great use of weather as lighting! Fog actually adds nice soft light to your background. Contrast and POV make your lonesome tree stand out marvelously! Nice 3D depth effect on the tree itself. Very impressive, super capture!
