Description

This immature hummingbird is quite camera shy. He, or she (too early to tell), lands on the feeder, with the bottle between me and her. I try to gently ease my camera into position (no mean feat, as hummingbirds are on super-fast mode). I got this one just before the subject zoomed away. I just think it is so amazing the shots you get! I swear, I don't see our hummingbirds, I only hear them as they buzz past my head!

Beautiful! I cannot put out a bird feeder because I have feral cats in the yard. I have seen them jump five feet to snag a humming bird out of mid air.
