Description

The Pacific Northwest went from cool and dry to cold and wet overnight. A week of rain, with brief sun breaks told us Autumn had arrived. Leaves became gold, orange and red hued quickly. The patter and drip of light rain took the place of bird calls. Then, the tree frogs started up. In my seedling collection of maples, I heard a frog. Investigating, this green guy challenged me for one of my tree pots. For a creature of about 20mm long (less than an inch), he had gumption! And I had a photo opportunity. He even posed for me. The frog is nude, but I think the Offense-Level is nil. Since I took the photo, I have heard him and his mates vocalizing at twilight. They are quiet most nights, as that is when the opossums and raccoons prowl. Just last night, we saw a coyote on the road. The three Anna's Hummingbirds appear to have chosen to remain all winter. The Hummingbird Pub is open 24/7 (that's our feeder), and always full of the high energy drink that they need. Thanks for the look. A big thanks to all who have favorited me or my work.

I am really falling in love with frogs. My faves are those Poison Dart frogs, but this is super too!

lol @ines nekkid frog hehehe. a private mail will follow in the next days as we get closer and closer to see what we are up mto for vegas.utes daughter will spend xmas here and the friends who accompagn us will be there so we will see how it develops.
