Maellasia set her plan in motion, with her sister Cyanida, and Lolth’s trusted Lieutenant, the master of Her Yochlol, Aranea, at her side. The power and might that had been Lolth and the terror of the mighty Drow Splinter Kingdom would return. The petulant uplanders and their traitorous Drovik allies would be cast down. The true Qual’Valsharess would return, and all would be as it had been in the ancient days, before the accursed names of Treallar, Kiriansalee, Eilistraee, Zhelvienne, or any of the other usurpers of Lolth’s crown had ever been heard of.

All they had to do was deal with these pesky college kids sent to spy on their operations. Maellasia knew what would work best, and vile glee filled her black heart as she issued orders to her forces. Find this Night Raptor and smash them utterly. Bring their broken or dead bodies back to her. She’d raise them from the dead and ensure the wrong kind of spirits reclaimed the corpses when she did. Yes, it was a beautiful night,… a beautiful night for the destruction of seven fledgling Raptors.
