Good evening, friends! ItÃ�Â´s time to start something new here - the "Festival of Lights" - series. The so called "Festival of Lights" has its origin in the french city of Lyon in medevial times, when Lyon was punished by a strong plague. So this light fiesta was donated to the holy mother Mary as a thanksgiving. It lives on in Lyon till today. Meanwhile several cities of the world create an light event like this, but the Berlin Festival of Lights should be the most famous of all. It is held every year at the second half of October, when the golden days of autumn mutate into the dark and cold days of November. This event is one of the biggest events Berlin can offer and has nearly one million tourists in the ten days. And it is the high time for thousands of photographers and their equipment. I watched this event for 4 years now, and now it is time to show the highlights. Please enjoy the Berlin Festival of Lights!
