Description

Tuweep or Toroweap is an area on the Grand Canyon that very few people take the time to visit. There are desert “roads”, that go out there but it was sand and boulder paths, which my kidneys still remember, and took hours to get out there. The Toroweap overlook, a 3,000 foot vertical rise above the Colorado River. The sheer drop is dramatic and breathtaking. My son Dana II (USAnomad) was the driver and guide for a great day of sun and wonderful views. Taken May 2001 and recently scanned. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Rough and ready! It immediately triggered my acrophobia. Ultra awesome POV, DOF, striations and textures in this overwhelming view of the Toroweap portion of the Grand Canyon, Dana!

it worth the drive. so lovely. i been just to the south rim from flag Stave [lol misspelled.] hey if you going to Flag Stave look for Red Mountian on the right. it have a nation park sign and it be a one mile hike into it. but it worth it as you walk into a volcano.
