My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

There's a huge amount of interest in here, Tara! I just love this sort of serendipity. I wonder what Mandy thinks about photography. Mine are resigned to intermittent periods of profound doggy boredom I suspect. I've just remembered a Uk childrens programme called 'Serendipity Dog'!

awwww....the little poser...:)

Excellent capture Tara. Beautiful reflections. I thought of you yesterday, when I took pictures of shops in Copenhagen. Soon you will see and be thrilled :-)

beau travail!

It is not known by many that the Mukilteo lighthouse is haunted. On stormy nights when ships are in trouble you can hear her howl a warning. And sometimes, if you look closely, you can see the Ghost Dog. What great serendipity! Outstanding shot, I love it!
MrsRatbag
She looks like a ghost dog! Fantastic capture!!

You did capture some great reflections here, but Mandy outshines them all.

love the dog too. wonderful shot

So much to see...and Mandy had no clue that you were getting her picture. Lots of fun sorting out what's in front of you and what's behind you. Fascinating.

This is quite an amazing shot! I really love the overlapping worlds in this: the world on the other side of the window, the world on your side of the window, the world on the surface of the window itself, as in the literal reflection. I love the hints and whispers of everything...solid things, insubstantial things, solid things pretending to be insubstantial, and vice-versa. This really rocks. I like it a lot.

Mandy the mirror dog! She must have led Alice once or twice Great capture

great to see this big...and I STILL can't find bill: Sorry! I see 2 shadows that 'could' be him, but I don't see an arm or a leash: I think he came in at 3 a.m. and took himself out. (Sorry. Does that ruin this shot for me? Do I have to go to the basement and show my images to mice for a month? This is a reflection shot: We should get discretionary points because, really, no one can be sure what's going on in reflection shots. I couldn't find him...) Anyway, great melange of reflections and real objects. The maps, the chair, the pictures, the railing---they all work themselves into a fine collage. And the stand & high window (the stand looks like a sales display with the alphabet going down the side) seem reflection; and there are wavy forms up high, and they seem to be water but probably aren't, but they still add a feeling of water fitting to the locale. A wonderful melange, with subtle orange-ish tones; and mandy looks in like a ghost: It's clear you didn't PS her into the shot: She's clearly there; and she adds a great touch to the whole. Love the shot, love mandy in it, and some day---someday---I'll find bill. (When I find him, if I peel him off is there a treat behind? 2 bucks? A mint? Something? He's not really there, is he. It's a joke to get people to look at the pic, right? I'm telling you, he's not there. There's a tall guy in the center, his name is Dmitri, I know him, he owes me 5 bucks: That's all I see. No bill. No one's on the left. I swear to you...Ok enough, this isn't funny, I'm tired, I'll stop...but he isn't there...)
