Just to take a moment, to honor our solders worldwide, for their service past, present and future. God bless them all. I chose this statue while Harry (GoodOleBoy) is doing a series on the Civil War.

Great capture! Fine dedi! I live in Denmark but are fully aware of US' great efforts to secure peoples and peace around the world! We too have military in zones with unrest working with US - and it is always the soldiers who pays the the great prize...

Fine and fitting tribute, we tend only to have First and Second World War memorials in England, so interesting to see something different.Though it would be far better if there where no need for such things.

Great statue, great tribute. Armistis day here, we all wear poppies, 2 mins silence at 11am for all soldiers of wars past & present!!!

Exquisite detail and minutia on this statue, surprisingly done in alabaster, just like your Hearst Greco-Roman sculptures, Dana. You're the first one I encountered today on Renderosity who gave homage and tribute to all the veterans, past and present, who served in the armed forces of the US of A. And, thanks for the promo on my Civil War series. Now I'm hoping that some of the commenters above will visit it.
