Description

A dear friend to many of us---Martin, aka groegnitram---has just returned from heart surgery and is recovering. Reports say he's doing well, and I & all his friends send our deepest wishes for a full & peace-filled recovery. Those of us who've swooned at his beauteous work, and how gentle his soul is, know how wonderful it is to be his friend. His incredible art & love has been like sunlight to us. Martin, you've been a jewel, and we send all our love & healing to you. Your fans love you & wish you the best recovery in the world. Another wonderful artist, Corey Black, has been recovering from similar surgery---may his wonderful spirit & humor inspire you, Martin, and give you the power to heal & shine! Tons of love from all your friends on RR, my friend! (And thanks to Ana---anaber---for uploading & telling all of us. Ana, you're the best...)

I can't comment tonight due to commitments after illness, but I'll comment this week, I promise.

Thank you for letting us know about Martin; I had no idea. You have given him a wonderful dedi, full of light and life. The rower is almost a sign of his recovery--one slow, deliberate move after another.

Oh my. Your photography so often stops me in my tracks, and this is one of those times! With one image you wing my heart back to your beautiful city and take my breath away. I can't help but want to come back! The Hancock was my landmark for home while we were there, and that gorgeous golden light is like a beacon. A stunning shot, dear one. Simply glorious.

A wonderful tribute and dedication to Martin, i am not familiar with his work and consequently the man himself, but i hope to put that right in future. Anahata, many thanks for your thoughtful and inspiring (to me) breakdown of my work and gallery, its so nice to know that what you try to put into your work, is recognised by others. As for your picture today it is a glorious view of your homeland, full of interest and a breathtaking vista. Many thanks for your support.

First of all let me say it's good to hear your friend is now home and recovering from heart surgery. Knowing the long road to recovery from heart surgery let me say he will now be in my prayers also. As always you did a splendid job on another dedi to a friend in need, and one can feel your kind heart behind every word you've written here. What struck me first was the dynamic feeling that this photo had when it came on my screen. The lighting here is so perfect and helps this image to be one that really does inspire hope.

Such a loving dedication for your friend, Martin. And what a glorious photo of Autumn. I love the contrast of nature and the city, and how the water is like a magical path between both, all illuminated with some kind of wonderful ethereal purple and mauve light. I know first hand the power of beauty to heal the heart, and you bring something as powerful ... love. Beauty and love, that is what you paint with your healing prose and photography, Mark. And that is what travels from one heart to another, and works miracles. CC

Mark, this is a beautiful image filled with all the things to make one's heart heal... A calendar worthy scene to contemplate while leaning back in your bed or a big recliner knowing the surgeon and the operating room team has performed a medical miracle just for you. The observers on the banks...all got there via a brisk walk...the same thing you'll soon be doing yourself once again. And the rower in the single scull, out at an early hour strengthening arms, back, legs and lungs. Martin, I don't know you, but I know the healing process that goes with heart surgery...give it eight weeks, maybe ten and you'll feel better than you have for years. Wishing you well and a complete return to all those things you love to do best.

Well, that is a beauteous image!! I have never seen this place but I would love to witness this mist against the lovely architecture myself! So much life in this pic as you've also caught the rower in the foreground! Such bliss!! Perfect upload for a healing wish for Martin. Blessings to you, Mark.

hellloooo dear mark, its really some time ago! isnt it? well, how to start ... first thanks a lot for this most beautiful view, i would love to be there for a walk and a closer look, it looks calm and makes me smile :) then, yes of course i need to take one or 2 more walks in the future, and in exactly such landscapes as yours, that would be a fine bonus. look, where i am right now, not in the city, not in the real far out country, just in the middle of nothing, haha, and bad weather too! but it is fine and i tell you why: i am still here! and feel fine so far, of course weak, and dizzy and asking me lots of questions, but besides this, i feel quite nice and look forward to a good recovery. and i will be on a 3 week rehabilitation in a hospital nearby. so now, i hope you do fine and you are happy, crossing fingers here you have a good time with good moments to enjoy! be well mark and until next time, i hope it will not be sooo long again :)

the image is a Favo.. because of the great river and the colors I do not like the skyscapers.. they should not build such things ..

This is beautiful and so heart felt. After having read your words and looked at your beautiful capture. Your shot is most fitting as it depicts to me a scene of coming home. The rowboat is the coming home part for me. I wish Martin the best.

What an amazing shot and this seems to be the year for heart surgery (which means a lot of pillow hugging!) This is such a touching dedication and a gorgeous photo; if I'm not mistaken this looks to be a sunrise shot? The colors imply sunrise, which makes me thing of how crisp the day must have been...even if it's not a sunrise shot, it's still amazing! I love the subtleties, the colors, the shifts and shimmers of the water, the shadows, and everything else that simply dances around this photo. This is, in a word, amazing! I love this and I love the sentiment behind it.

Again .. Dear Mark .. I've fallen so far behind .. It's very strange, but you've been on my mind for the past week .. and I just stopped for a minute now, and there you were! I've no excuse for being so far behind .. except for having a "code id by node" grins, and you know how all that stuff clogs up the brain. Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Such a glorious light, and colors, and reflections, and views, and truly, the few people that I know, never speak of your town in the glowing terms that you see it in. A beautiful dedi too, and now you make me want to at least go and peak at Martin's gallery. I will catch up, I promise, the thumbs I see are simply astounding little gems of beauty .. and I need to spend time with each. But I'm all tired out .. and I'm going to bed now. thank you dear friend, for the lovely words you painted for me, on my last post .. the one about fortuitous moments.
