My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Marvelous! Kinda surreal as I listen to the soundtrack to Inception while looking at these as inspiration for such artists as the Bekzynski guy who did creepy surrealism way over in Central Poland. In short, I'm having the time of my life with this picture. I love the textures and the overall alienness of it. The green is so deliciously lively and wonderfully rich. I also like the weathering effect, the smoothness, the shimmer of the water, and yes...the noses. I do wonder what they're talking about...the relative merits of cinnamon over nutmeg? Who knows? Great stuff though, and I suspect I'll spin a tale or two at some point in the future when I'm actually writing again and not trolling through my backlog.

I can just imagine the conversation... "Looks like another wet day today..." "Yes, it does. And I really need to go get a moss-cut. It's getting in my eyes." Beautifully captured, Tara! I love the light and texture - I can almost feel the cool, wet surfaces. This defines art - taking something as commonplace as an old post, and making it 'talk.' Brilliant.
