Description

No animals were harmed for this shoot ! How could I ? just check out this cute smile he gives me ! This is my free-ranging visitor 'Terence the wild Bush Turkey' - rummaging through our property, looking for morsels, which he finds plenty of, needless to say - because he comes back for more, every day ... He has also developed a bad habit, scratching away my newly sugarcane-mulched trees, veggies & flowers but I would never ever consider eating him though! But to the rest of you traditional followers of this 'Thanksgiving' holiday in the US, I wish you all a nicely stuffed turkey and celebration. LOL Good Cheers all around *BB*

It's a good thing Terrence is far far away from the US this time of year or he might find himself the main dinner attraction. Super shot BB and it does appear that Terrence is doing well in OZ where (to my knowledge) no celebrations revolve around him or his kin. Kudos! Auf wiedersehen 'n cheers!

No wonder he's smiling. There have been some writeups about our American turkeys these last few days. It seems they are now so genetically deformed that they cannot have sex and must be artificially inseminated. And all the flavor has been bred out of their meat. Great image of a lucky turkey.

A super capture of this beautiful turkey, he has such lovely colouring. No wonder you wouldn't ever consider eating him. I love his red head and neck.
